People supporting local good causes could win a Switch 2 gaming bundle, or up to £25,000, by buying tickets for Swale Borough Council’s community lottery.
The Swale Community Lottery gives people the chance to support their favourite local charities and non-profit organisations financially, while having the chance to win cash prizes each week.
For this month’s Super Draw everyone who buys a ticket before Saturday 25 April will be in with the chance of winning a mega gaming bundle, featuring Pokémon Pokopia for a family adventure and Pragmata for a deeper, cinematic gaming experience.
With extra controllers, storage, and must-have accessories included, it’s ready for family fun straight out of the box - while still delivering the performance and polish serious gamers will love.
You can play on the go or connect to your brand-new TV and play with friends and family.
But if you don’t have any gamers in the family, you can also take a cash alternative and spend it your way.
The over 50 charities, voluntary organisations and other not-for-profit groups of all shapes and sizes who have signed up to the lottery receive 50% of the proceeds from tickets they sell.
A further 10% from every ticket sale goes into a central fund which will be shared among other good causes through grants.
The remainder goes towards prize funds and operating costs.
A huge thanks to the amazing support from the people of Swale, the charities that signed up to benefit from the lottery receive a monthly cash boost throughout the year.
The regular draws take place every week, and as well as the £25,000 jackpot, players people could win prizes of £2,000, £250, £25 or more tickets.
Super draws take place on the last Saturday of each month, and you can buy extra tickets to “top-up” for super draw week – or if you don’t want weekly tickets, you can buy tickets just for the super draw.
Tickets for the lottery are available on the Swale Community Lottery website and cost just £1.
Cllr Hannah Perkin, chair of the housing, health and communities committee, said:
“We have just celebrated our one-year anniversary of our community lottery, and we are very pleased with the support our good causes have received so far.
“Thanks to your continued support our local charities have been able to receive a monthly cash boost to help with their running costs.
“The super draw is another great opportunity to support your favourite good cause while standing the chance to win amazing prizes.
“If you are able to, please buy tickets, whether weekly or just for the super draw, the amazing charities truly appreciate the extra fundraising the community lottery provides.”
