Swale councillors will be representing the council at Remembrance services across the borough on Sunday 10 November.

The local councillors will be taking part in the acts of Remembrance on behalf of the Mayor of Swale, Cllr Ben Martin, who will be attending a Civic Ceremony at St Michael’s Church in Sittingbourne.

The Mayor of Swale, Cllr Ben Martin, said:

“Remembrance Sunday gives us all the opportunity to show our appreciation for, and take the time to remember, the sacrifices that were and are made by our armed forces, their families and loved ones.

“It is a chance for the community to come together and reflect on the debt we owe to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we too often take for granted today.

“My fellow councillors and aldermen will be attending events across the borough on behalf of the council, and I would like to encourage people to attend to show their support for those who have given us so much in past and current conflicts.”
