Visitors to Barton's Point Coastal Park will get a fresh taste of summer with a new temporary food operator taking over the Boat House Café.

While Swale Borough Council is busy working on plans for the entire site, they've enlisted the services of the owner of Leysdown's popular Neptune Beach Café to whip up delicious hot and cold drinks, ice creams, snacks, and food for park visitors.

The cafe will be open for takeaway and sit-down dining, offering great views of the coastal park.

Visitors will be able to grab a bite to eat, soak up the sun, and enjoy the park's natural beauty while the council supports exciting new developments to improve this treasured community asset.

The café will be open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, and weekends from 9 am to 5 pm, with an option for extended hours during peak season.

Cllr Monique Bonney, chair of the council’s economy and property committee, said:

"We're committed to making Barton's Point the best it can be, and reopening the café is just the beginning.

“We’re supporting the development of future plans which respect and embrace our treasured ecology, but in the meantime, we hope everyone will come out and enjoy this delicious new addition!"

The Boat House has been given a fresh new look with refurbishments inside so the café can once again whip up tasty treats for hungry park-goers.
