We want local people to help shape the future of Sheppey East - you know your community better than anyone else.
Introducing the community engagement officer for Pride in Place
Ashley Jones is the Pride in Place community engagement officer who brings 15 years of financial services experience and deep Island connections to the £20 million long-term investment programme.
He will be working alongside the neighbourhood board, chair, and MP to make sure local residents will be at the heart of everything about this project.
Having lived on the Island for over 10 years he has volunteered for the award winning health and wellbeing charity Sheppey Matters and chaired the Sheppey Business Network which helped to provide people with work experience with the Sheerness Job Centre and has helped host the Simply Sheppey podcast.
Ashley will be based around the east of the Island so you can have a chat with him about what you’d like to see accomplished with this £20 million government funded investment.
You can meet Ashley and discuss the project at these events taking place across Sheppey East:
- Friday 14 August 12pm to 1:30pm - Leysdown Family Hub - Family Fun Day
- Monday 24 August 10am to 2pm - Minster Leas Beach Hut Engagement Day at Beach Hut 38
